Why people hate on you

GNJMedia has been bringing the Toast for six straight years, and I am looking forward to being of service for another six. I want to thank those of you that take the time to look at our daily emails, and watch or listen to the Daily Toast. You do not know how much I appreciate you. So let's get this year started... Once agin this subject hit me in the tub and I jumped up took some notes, and here you go. Hope it helps, and if you have any comments, questions, concerns, request, and/or etc.. Feel free to hit me and the Tribe up. We are at your service.

TOO BLACK!!!

I want to start this new year off by preparing those on the journey with info about haters. I wanted to list out some of the reasons your haters (and maybe some of your friends) hate on you. There are a lot of things that don’t really make sense about haters and the way they feel about other people. Sometimes the comments are shocking and disrespectful, but there is a reason behind it.

  1. You are to confident

  2. They don't understand your success

  3. You don't listen to their advice

  4. They don't think you work hard enough

  5. They are upset that you got where you are without their help

Reasons why people hate on you can vary. These are just a few, but it’s funny how all these reasons fall into the same general idea. The conclusion is pretty much the same too: haters gonna hate. And when they don’t have anything good to say, they will resort to creating drama and making stuff up. Ignore the haters and try to focus on those who support you. They may not be as loud, but they deserve more of your attention, anyway. A proverb that deals with this type of situation simply states that "In the garden of life envy is a weed that need not be watered."

Here is an African proverb:

If you don't know where your going to then any road will take you where you're going.

NB True Dat! People who hate don't know themselves, don't know how to love or have never been loved and they do tend to be self-centered. How can you get them to have a better understanding of self, and the community/world they live in?
