What is Order and Why Does it Matter?

Great Kuumba:

A principle is an underlying truth or assumption that forms the basis for a particular system. It is the fundamental law or governing principle behind something, such as a system of thought, belief, etc.. At Gye-Nyame we are trying to expose our family to the principle of our culture, and help reshape the world in our image. I believe that this is the proper and just thing for us to do. It is time for us to put the world back in order, and that is the principle that we are going to look at today.

What is order? Order is the arrangement or disposition of people or things in relation to each other according to a particular sequence, pattern, or method. It is also an authoritative command, direction, or instruction. Order is something that we need to pay attention to, and learn to use it to build our families and tribe. The purpose(Nia) of order is providing protection.   By assigning activities to various people within a group you are protecting yourself because everyone knows what they are responsible for, thus they are empowered. Also, because everyone has an assigned role, this helps to avoid duplication of efforts which again helps to protect the foundation.

Hold on!!! Enough of that here is your proverb:

"When the cockroach decides to make the cock its friend it must be ready to end up in the cock's stomach."
