The Revolutionary Practice Of Umoja

Great Umoja:

I was not able to get to sleep last night so I am not feeling on the top of my game, but I will be streaming the show at 2 pm, so stop in and check it out.

I want to talk about why Umoja is a revolutionary practice. Today we will look at harnessing the power of umoja by learning about the 5 parts of our being:

  1. Our intuition

  2. Our mind

  3. Our emotions

  4. Our spirit

  5. Our Physical

These five parts working as one make it possible for us to unleash our true power. Which helps us to become better men and women that can be of service to our families and tribes. Tribes are what we live in, from birth until death. They are the people that are in our family, they are the friends we have at school, they are the neighbors that we live next to, they are the people that come into our lives through work or during a crisis or tragedy. The tribe is everything that we interact with on a daily basis. The problem is that most tribes today aren't living a fully connected life. They have become so busy and are so disconnected with themselves and with each other that they don't even know who they really are anymore. And when you don't know who you really are, you can't help anyone else figure out who they really are either. Within each of us lives our true self – this is the part of us that has been here since before our birth, and it will continue on after death. We have all been here many times before throughout history, but within this lifetime we were born with a purpose, and only by bringing the 5 parts of our being into alignment can we fulfill it. so here are some questions to wrestle with for those on the #Nguzosabachallenge:

What needs to happen for the power of Umoja to be brought alive and spread within our tribe?

How can we bring the power of Umoja into our lives?

How will you use the power of Umoja to live a more fulfilled life?

What is the most difficult part of living Umoja?

Proverb Of the day:

"When the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
