I feel that the biggest problem with our people is the fact that many of us are wasting our one shot. We want to be a part of this culture, but we refuse to do the work. So many people in our circle are not putting out their gifts and talents. They're not doing what they should be doing for the culture. Instead, they're serving the enemy's system. If you want to see Black people free, then you have to stop wasting your talent. If you want to see Black people free, then you have to start putting out there what you know how to do. The first thing that we need is a total revolution in mentality. We need to stop believing that this system can do anything for us. That's why I say it's time for us Black people to take one step back and look at ourselves in the mirror, because when we do, we're going to see that we need a total revolution in attitude and mentality. This is beginning with self-love and self-acceptance. We have to love ourselves enough not to make excuses for others' actions or inaction towards us as a community. We have to love ourselves enough not to believe whatever rhetoric is being fed to us by those who want our support without making any sacrifices to our culture. My ancestors teach me that "those who are not willing to sacrifice shall not be fulfilled!"
In the end, it is up to us Black people to see ourselves as God sees us. We need to start loving ourselves enough to do what we love. We need to be proud of who we are and where we come from. We need to change our minds about the world that is in front of us and how it can help instead of hurt. I believe that Black people have the potential to be great, but only if we start believing in ourselves. So I ask you this: what are you going to do today to spread LOVE and create HOPE?
How has your life been affected by your family, mostly your parents?
Who is the most influential person in your life?
What do you feel is the biggest problem for Black people?
How can we use the power of "Black Love" to change our communities?
What are your thoughts on the current state of African Americans?
Here are some things that we can do to stop wasting our one shot:
1. We have to step back and look at ourselves in the mirror
2. We need a total revolution in attitude and mentality
3. We have to love ourselves enough not to make excuses for others' actions
4. We have to be accountable to something
5. We have to start having real conversations with our youth
Here is your proverb:
No matter how short a man is, he will always see the sky.
