Limits, Vision & Mystery

Umoja Toast:

Today’s haiku speak about the journey toward freedom and about limiting factors. The imagination is powerful, but it does not give us the direct path to our goals. Sometimes we do not know what lies beyond the next turn in the road, or how to continue on into new territory. So we create a vision and then push toward it. We limit ourselves when we start small and then reach for something much larger. We limit ourselves when we weigh the pros and cons of a decision before taking one step forward into the unknown. If we are brave enough to take that step forward, if we are brave enough to face uncertainty and act, then we are free within our limits.

Join us today as we continue moving through “Freedom Within Limits”, and here is your proverb:

"No matter how sharp a knife is, it can never cut its handle."
