Great Kuumba:

Kuumba is a term that translates to creativity and it represents our ability to create whatever we want in life. This includes money, wealth, better relationships and more. The principle of creativity is that which moves and shapes the universe in all things. Wherever creativity exists, life at its most vital is there. And within the creative force called Kuumba is the greatest source of power, as it resides and flows in all people. When we believe in this, and use this creative force as it was meant to be used - to create a better life for yourself - you will find yourself following the same steps, using the same methods as our ancestors before us. It really is simple, but understanding isn't always easy..

The better life is not out there waiting for you to find it. You must create it. It is not something that will just fall into your lap. If you want to live a better life, then you must take the reins of your life and drive it in the direction you want to go! The key to creating the life you want is found in your mind and emotions. It's called Kuumba… creativity. Many people give up far too soon when trying to achieve their goals. They are convinced that they will never get what they want out of life. They believe that some people are lucky and born under a lucky star, while others have no luck at all in their lives. But this isn't true! Everyone has the ability to create whatever they want in life using their imagination! Creative visualization can be used by anyone, of any age, at any time and with just a little practice. What most people don't realize is that every thought we have creates an emotional response within us as well as an action we take towards creating it as reality. For example: if I think about being broke, unhappy or living a life filled with bills and stress, I am immediately creating more feelings of unhappiness, stress and worry within my body. These thoughts also cause me to waste time and energy that could go toward me moving to the place in life I want to be.

Our ancestors left us a method for creating the life that we want, and at the same time this life would be able to be of service to our tribe. The method that they left us was called the "Hero's Journey" also known as the rites of passage process. All we have to do is plug in and begin to use our creativity to not only change our life but change the life of those that are around us. Using our Kuumba in connection with tribe can help us grow and become powerful in life here are some personal steps you can take to unleash Kuumba in your life:

1. Make a list of the most important things that you want in your life

2. List out all the obstacles that you think will keep you from getting each item on the list

3. Decide what needs to be done to overcome each obstacle and then do it - one at a time, patiently and consistently

4. Watch as your life changes before your eyes in ways that you never thought possible
